Part of the city of Sebastopol in the Ukraine, on the Crimean Peninsula.

An important Greek city in ancient times, in the Crimean War it became famous for an allied victory in 1854 over the Russians, and particularly for the charge of the Light Brigade, depicted in Lord Tennyson’s poem – a prime example of the all-too-often tragedy and slaughter caused by stupidity of leaders but carried out my men of outstanding bravery.
